Q: How are the subscribing clubs ranked?
The Financial and Gaming Modules use different ranking systems:
- Financial – Clubs are ranked according to their operating efficiency which is established by calculating their EBITDARD as a percentage of total revenue. From highest to lowest, clubs are then grouped into the Top 25%, Mid 50% and Low 25% categories, which are clearly displayed throughout the reports.
- Gaming – Clubs are ranked by net profit per machine per day. From highest to lowest, clubs are again grouped into the Top 25%, Mid 50% and Low 25%.

Q: What is EBITDARD?
- EBITDARD is the leading indicator when it comes to measuring the operating efficiency & operating cash flow of a licensed club operation.
- EBITDARD translates to earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, amortisation, rent & donations are deducted. Club Data Online also excludes all non-core trading activity such as football operations, on-course golf operations and diversification activities so as to compare clubs on an equal footing.
- This allows low revenue and high clubs to be compared. The performance measure is based on efficiency (expenditure control as opposed to volume of revenue and club size.
- EBITDARD / Total Club Revenue X 100 = Operating Efficiency %
